From Bitter To Better

Someone once asked me how does one fully heal from being broken?

I couldn’t really give a definite answer at the time, but this question made me think.

Then the person continued and asked ‘’How did you get it right to heal?’’

I didn’t want to take anything away from the fact that it was all God. My answer was just one simple word: ‘’God’’.

Healing is not just something that happens overnight. It takes time to heal and you should be willing to surrender and lay down the heavy burdens in order to be free.

What I can tell you is, you cannot truly heal without Jesus.

The thing about healing is, you have to acknowledge what it is that has caused you pain and take note on how you retaliate because of the pain.

If it is that you are defensive, have resentment, anger, bitterness; ask God to remove those feelings.

He can only help you if you confess and admit your shortcomings.

You always have a choice in life. Resentment, anger, revenge and forgiveness is a choice.

Only YOU can decide if you are going to remain living in the past (staying stuck) or if you want to forgive and live freely.

‘’Forgiveness is the supernatural power that breaks the chains of bitterness.’’ – Pastor John Hagee

Forgiveness is not just for the one who did you wrong, but it is for yourself. Holding on to unforgiveness and resentment brings all kinds of spiritual sickness, such as depression, etc.

Allow God to heal your wounds and give you beauty for ashes.

God can turn pain into PEACE, hurt into HEALED, rejection to REDEEMED. He can set you free from the bondage that your past has on you. Mind, body and soul.

Let Ephesians 4 verse 26 be of encouragement, ‘’let us not give the enemy a foothold by holding onto anger.’’

Make the decision today by putting the past behind you, looking forward to what lies ahead, because God will only have something better in store for you. [Philippians 3:13-14]

Allow God to change your life from bitter to better.
