Through The Storm

‘’We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.’’ 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NIV

Life and all its challenges can leave many scars behind, some deeper than others.

And even after you have healed the scars still remain – forms part of your testimony.

‘’One day you will tell your story of how you overcome what you went through and it will be someone’s survival guide.’’ – Brene Brown

Now I know exactly what it feels like to be in a storm. Where you feel as if life has no meaning and you have more questions than faith. It is difficult to hold on when it feels like all you want to do is let go and drown. But it is in the storm that you realize how brave and strong you truly are.

It takes a really brave person to get up after they have fallen, and still find a reason to smile; to believe, and to have faith that better days are ahead.

Today, choose to continue carrying hope in your heart, even with tears in your eyes. Move forward in faith, so that you do not stay stuck in your ocean of sorrow. Yes, you have been wrecked timelessly but do not murmur on yesterday’s pain.

Know that the storm will pass, just hold on a little longer.

  1. Amen!!! Beautiful.. Makes me think of all the old ship wrecks people go and visit around the world, there’s beauty in the struggle and no matter what, we need to look up and remain faithful. Its during our darkest times his best work is done.
