Where do I even start? I am filled with so much emotion and I just had to take time out to put these thoughts into writing.
As Christmas day approaches, I am once again reminded about how precious time is and how we should make use of it.
My heart goes out to each person that has lost a loved one this year. Let us acknowledge those who tirelessly fought the good fight of life, we honor the lives lost and we treasure the memories that they have left behind.
We are currently going through the unknown and should spend it wisely. My prayer for each one is to make use of this precious gift called life that we were given.
As we are wrapping gifts, cooking meals, and making sure everything is in order for Christmas day, let us take the time to focus on the important things – by finding peace. Making right with family members who we haven’t spoken to in years. To forgive, to put the past behind us. To forget about the hurt, pain, anger, hatred, and grudges. It serves us no purpose.
Each morning, as we open our eyes to a new day, may we never cease to give God the honor and praise for another day of life. Let’s forget the past, and look toward the future, for God has already gone before us.
May God give us His peace. And may we in return, give out peace to each one.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
