‘’Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’’ Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the only thing that will help us overcome our fears, if we have no faith then fear will always try and overtake our faith.
I know that it is so hard not to be anxious or fearful when all you read and hear about is Covid19, death, and sickness.
But I am here to remind you all that Jesus is still alive and doing miracles. He still stands on His promises, He is still a way maker and His hand of protection is still on us
It is human to sometimes worry about the future, but we should not allow fear to cripple us.
As believers and followers of Christ, we should use this time to pray, to be the light for those suffering. These past few days, all I read on my Facebook feed were Christians fighting each other over who is right and wrong, and it made me so sad to witness. We are the light, there are so many people looking up to us without us even knowing, we are supposed to set the example, and now is not the time to be judging and criticizing one another.
We should be the ones spreading hope through God’s word and giving assurance to the lost and those suffering. We should not be putting more fear into another by speaking death and not life.
Death is a reality yes; we are currently going through a pandemic and it is heartbreaking to see our loved ones and frontline workers suffering.
It is up to us to make a difference, to not be ignorant and selfish, but to show our love towards one another by being responsible. Now more than ever before, we should be sowing love and not hate.
Let’s stop spreading fear and start working on our faith. Let us start with God’s word and His great promises.
Psalm 23:4 tells us that even though we walk through the darkest valley, we should fear no evil, for God is with us, His rod and staff comfort us.
God has brought us through before and He will surely do it again.
Let’s change our ’what ifs’ to ‘even if’, and replace our worries with gratitude.
Our life is in God’s hands, and He holds our future.
Today, choose faith over fear and be encouraged that our current circumstances will come to pass.
‘’Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’’ John 14:27
