Where Is The Love?

Love is the one thing that unites all human existence.

Love is powerful and precious, it inspires, encourages, and brings light.

After a month of resting, and remaining in the sacred place, I took out my pen and started writing again. Before writing I had a conversation with God, my question was ‘’Lord what can I write about, there are so many things that have gone out already that the world already knows about’’, and I was reminded about the basic biblical law: LOVE.

If there is one that this world lacks, it is love. We have gotten so cold, and accustomed to this world that we allow evil, hate, and jealousy to overpower the most precious gift that God has given us.

It is not by luck that we have been saved, we ought to be examples of Christ, bearing one another in love.

With times changing, everything else around us changes. Even the way we have church has changed. We are moving to a digital generation where things are being done through social media, so it is very important not to create confusion for non-believers. To be quite honest with you, never have I ever imagined the day I would see believers fighting over social media about the word of God for all non-believers to see. This creates so much confusion and even more disunity.

We should always set an example, and use wisdom. We need to show love and not hate. We should use our God-given wisdom and love to win souls, not tear the body of Christ apart.

Yes, we do live in the last days, and we can no longer sugarcoat the truth. We need to proclaim the true gospel, but we should never forget to love.

Let us open up our hearts again, go back to the basics – to study God’s word so that we do not dwell off the path of righteousness.

Here are a few scriptures on LOVE:
1 Corinthians 16:14
‘’Do everything in love’’

Romans 13: 8
“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.’’

Colossians 3:14
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

1 John 2:9-10
“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.”

1 John 4:8
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.’’

Romans 12:9-10
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

Galatians 5:13
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”

1 John 4:7
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

1 John 4:9-11
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

1 Corinthians 13:13
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
